Featured Project: Wall to Wall cabinets

In March we finished this project for a couple in the Montrose area of Houston.   We sat down with them in Late February to finalize the design.  It consisted of a line of cabinets from wall to wall of the living room and extending to the kitchen area.    The area included a few key spaces that made entertainment and living easier for this family.  We'll show you what we did for each space.

Storage Cabinets

We added plenty of storage cabinets for the living space in this first section.  There are two large doors, with shelves, and two lower doors.   There was also room for storage in each section of the cabinets, with at least two doors and or drawers included in each space.

Entertainment Center

The entertainment center featured a TV insert that shows off a beautiful stained red oak beadboard panel.   We added boxed cubbies to the top, and below is a four-door cabinet.   The cabinet below the TV has two center doors which we specifically made a custom square lattice for air flow.

Shelves

We can't never have too many shelves for either storage or as a decorative piece.   Each cabinet had one or two shelves which were adjustable to meet any desired height.

Broom Closet

The broom closet was added to the middle part of the section between the entertainment center and the arched shelves to store cleaning supplies.   We created a space that was easily accessible for the family.

Technology Center and Decorative Shelves

The technology center featured cabinet drawers and a grommet at the top to insert cables for a monitor.   This space also has stained shelves above.

Bar Area

The last section featured a stone countertop, with shelves above for glasses and alcohol.  There is also storage above and underneath.   We left a space for a wine fridge insert and a cabinet above that which completed this section.
